Angua‘s projects contribute significantly to the Group’s environmental and social responsibility objectives, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable planet.
Currently, our projects avoid more than 400,000 tonnes of CO2 per year and we are developing new lines of business that will allow us to avoid up to one million tonnes of CO2 per year.
We have a huge positive impact on the environment. Not only do we plant trees, but we use native forest species in our work, and a significant area of land is maintained as a nature reserve.
This is why our Angua Forestal plantation has managed to recreate the biodiversity of a natural forest, with more than a million trees of different species growing together, avoiding monoculture.
We believe it is important not only to care for the environment, but also to help make the world a fairer place.
Our projects promote international cooperation and are socially responsible to the local communities in which we operate, and we have succeeded in creating long-term local training and employment.
In addition, our Angua Fiber line uses a mix of our own plantations and Fair Trade purchases from local producers to produce high quality, high purity fibre in a sustainable way.
